New Mystic Access Three-Week Course — More Ways to Cut The Cord.

If you’re tired of watching your cable bill skyrocket with every passing month, and are ready to make a change, our new cord cutting course may be perfect for you. This is essentially a sequel to a course we taught in 2018.

We’ll be discussing what cord cutting is, the many available options for viewing your favorite shows, movies and channels without cable, and the accessibility of these options on various platforms. Have you hesitated to kill your cable bill because you were unsure of the accessibility of services such as Sling, Hulu Live and others? Want to know about the many new services that have entered the market since our last course, such as Fubo, Philo and others? We’ll be providing detailed information, tons of demos, and answering your questions live in this extensive course.

The course begins on Tuesday, February 25 at 8:30 PM Eastern time. If you can’t attend live, no worries! everything will be recorded for your reference at any time. And if you previously attended our first cord cutting course, or purchased it later as a product, you should have received an email with important info just for you.

Ready to learn more? To read the entire course syllabus, listen to a fourteen minute sample from our previous cord cutting course, and to register your spot, visit this page. We look forward to having you in the course!

Announcing — Dinner Delivered, our New Book from National Braille Press.

We’re delighted to share the release of our new book available from National Braille Press, Dinner Delivered. You’ve heard the names before: GrubHub, Postmates, Amazon Fresh, Uber Eats. Whatever you’re craving — your favorite meal at a local restaurant, a new dessert, some almond butter or chai tea mdash; there’s a delivery service that can bring that item or meal to your door! The best part? You’re in control, need no sighted assistance, and no travel is involved. Having tried each of the eleven food or meal delivery services included in the book, Kim and Chris guide you through the ins and outs, the good and the bad, of these services, as well as provide tips for browsing, navigating the website and app versions, where applicable, and much more!

We’re so excited to have partnered with NBP for another book, and hope you enjoy reading and using it to bring greater freedom and convenience to your meals. You may purchase it in hard copy braille, BRF, DAISY text, or Word formats. The entire table of contents is also available from the above link. Happy reading, and eating!

Want to learn more about the book and ask questions live? We’ll be appearing on Tek Talk on Monday, February 10 at 8:00 PM ET to discuss Dinner delivered. Join us live at that time by clicking on the above link from your PC, Mac or favorite mobile device.

February’s Free Event — Answering The call with Ease Using The Blind Shell Phone.

We’re so impressed with the Blind Shell Classic phone that we’re devoting February’s free event to sharing more about it’s benefits, discussing and demoing features, and, of course, answering your questions. If you’ve heard of the Blind Shell, and are wondering whether you may benefit from owning one, or if you’d just like to learn more about this affordable phone option, we hope you’ll join us. And yes, you don’t have to be part of our Events list to join this one, so come hang out with us, and invite your friends.

Timely Product Reminders.

We wanted to remind you of a few hardware products we think you may enjoy. If you’ve ever been at a bus stop, airport or walking down the street, and needed to hear the information from your GPS, but struggled to hear other sounds around you at the same time, we have an awesome little tool in the form of the LiWithPro bone conduction headphones. They’re comfortable, have nice sound, and their design keeps your ears free to hear your surroundings. Chris’s included tutorial puts these through their paces, so you can learn about all the ways you can use them to enhance your life and travels.

If you get tired of losing, breaking or just not having enough lightning cables for your iDevices, we have packs of three braided nylon cables available. These are six feet each, and we’ve been using ours for months very happily. Click here to read more about them and to order yours. Best of all, for a limited time, you’ll receive a free gift with your order of lightning cables. We’ll be sending along a lightning splitter cable with your purchase, courtesy of Guidelights and Gadgets. Now you’ll be able to charge your phone while listening to wired headphones at the same time.

Finally, for one lucky customer, we unearthed a set of our once beloved, but sadly now discontinued Sharkk Aura headphones. These are on-ear, have incredible, close to Bose-quality sound in Kim’s opinion, especially in the highs and mid range, and boast eighteen hours of battery. They’re beautifully designed, have very tactile buttons, and you’ll find no cheap plastic on these headphones. Only one set is available, and, of course, we’ll be including the tutorial we created for these. Still need that something special for your Valentine? We know these will make somebody a wonderful gift, either to give or to keep!

Want a Gift from Mystic Access on Your Birthday? Here’s What You do.

Due to an accessibility conflict on the site, we had to replace our existing Birthday module. If you previously entered your Birthday in your account info on the site, you’ll need to visit your account to re-enter the day and month. If you wish to enter your Birthday in order to get a Birthday gift from Mystic Access, here’s how you do it. Click on this link or copy and paste it into your web browser. If you’re not logged into the site, you’ll be asked to log in. Once logged in, you’ll be able to add your Birthday near the bottom of the page using the two supplied combo boxes to pick the month and day. Activate the Save Changes button when finished.

Note that you only have to enter your Birthday once, and you can’t enter it a second time, so please double-check your info prior to saving the changes.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but felt this change was necessary to resolve the accessibility issue we discovered.

If you have any issues with this, feel free to get in touch with us and we’ll happily assist you.
