Announcing Release Date of Victor Reader Stream 3 Free Audio Tutorial and Complimentary Webinar

Hi Everyone,

This announcement is for those of you who are interested in learning more about the Victor Reader Stream 3 and the audio documentation we’ve created in partnership with HumanWare to accompany it. If this isn’t you, you’re welcome to scroll away from this page now with our wishes for a great weekend. We’ll hopefully have other news of interest to you soon.

If, however, you’re interested in learning more about HumanWare’s Victor Reader Stream 3, we have terrific news. We’re thrilled to finally be able to announce the release date, and provide other details, for our audio documentation that we’ve created on this powerful, compact device.

First, the audio documentation will be released next week, on Thursday, August 10. You’ll be able to download it on the HumanWare Victor Stream 3 support page. Visit:
https://support.humanware.com/
then locate the Stream 3 page from there.

It will also be available on:

Free Audio Downloads

You can download in MP3 and/or DAISY formats. Both versions are contained in .zip files, so you’ll need to extract the contents prior to listening. You probably already have a program on your computer for doing this. Or, if you want to listen on your mobile device, Dolphin EasyReader (for both iOS and Android) and Voice Dream Reader (for iOS) are great options for the DAISY versions in particular.

And yes, of course, you can play the audio documentation in your Stream if you’d like. Place the DAISY version in $VRDTB, or the MP3 version in $VROtherBooks.

You’ve Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers

1. Can I download the audio before Thursday, August 10?
No. Patience, please.

2. How long is the audio?
Twelve hours, thirty-three minutes, and one second. Yes, we know, it’s long! But there’s no fluff, and it’s jam-packed with examples and demos.

3. What if I want to upgrade to the Stream 3 from another Stream? Will this help me?
Absolutely. There’s an entire section devoted to comparing the Stream 2 and Stream 3, they’re differences and similarities.

4. Is this a really technical audio? I’m not that technical.
No. Our audios are all laid-back, informal, and hopefully fun. They’re designed and recorded by professionals who are also users of the product. Plus, they begin, well, at the beginning, with foundational concepts. In this case, you’ll learn what the Stream 3 is and does, how to orient to the device, where buttons are and what they do, how to power on and off, set the time and date, ways to check the battery and find your serial number, and more. If you’re bran new to the Stream products, or need a refresher, we have you covered.

5. Is there a transcript?
No.

6. How much does it cost?
It’s absolutely free for anyone to download.

7. Can I get it on an SD card, etc?
For now, downloading is the only option. You’re welcome to put it on an SD card or another media format yourself if you’d prefer.
