A Quick Note on You’ve Got YouTube
Our YouTube event may be over, but you will soon be able to check out the hours of content provided. We had a wonderful time sharing well over four hours worth of tips, navigation strategies, and demos to help you get the most out of YouTube. Whether you use an iPhone, Android phone, Amazon Fire tablet, BlindShell phone, or Apple/Roku/Fire TV, we cover it all. We also got some great questions and tips from participants. If you spent your time with us over three weeks, we’re so glad you came, and are eager to share with everyone else soon.

Free Event for September, When Not to Rely on AI
AI can definitely be helpful when it comes to simplifying tasks, organizing research, and answering questions. But it can also give completely inaccurate and incorrect answers, too. This event is for discussing the more negative aspects of AI. We’ll give examples of when using AI has been an epic fail for us, when you should couple it with other technology, and when using it may just be a bad idea in the first place.
Whether you use AI via your web browser, on your phone, or through your voice assistant, we’d love to have you join us for this event. And yes, there will be lots of time for your stories, questions, and group discussion afterwards! The event takes place on Thursday, September 17 at 8:00 PM ET. It will be recorded if you’re unable to join us live, and will be on our free downloads site as soon as possible after the event. Our Next Virtual Event: Understanding GPS and Finding Your Way
There are many misconceptions about what GPS is and what it can and cannot do. Whether you’re bran new to GPS, use it all the time and want to learn more about it, or not at all adventurous but still curious, this will be an enlightening experience. Kim has hoped Chris would teach an event like this for a long time, and she finally twisted his arm. Expect a lot of down-to-earth, practical info and explanations in a warm, laid-back style. Chris has worked with GPS, personally and professionally, for 20+ years. This is not a technical class, so don’t be shy about asking basic beginner questions.
This is a two-session event. The first 90-minute session will take place on Tuesday, september 22. A Q&A session will follow on Tuesday, September 29. Each session begins at 8:00 PM ET. Both evenings will be recorded if you’re unable to attend live. If you have questions about GPS that you’ve always wanted to know but have been afraid to ask, bring them to class. It’s going to be a lot of fun.
